Built Over Time. Structured for
What Comes Next.
Vertis is an integrated wealth advisory firm built around one clear belief: Financial strategy works better when the people guiding it work together.
Today, Vertis brings wealth, tax, legal, and estate planning into a more coordinated family office model for individuals, families, and business owners who want structure behind their success.
But the firm did not start that way. It evolved there.
-
Through local relationships.
-
National expansion.
-
Dozens of acquisitions.
-
Years of client service.
A Coordinated Model for Modern Financial Life.
Vertis helps clients organize the moving pieces of their financial lives through coordinated wealth, tax, legal, and estate strategy.
The firm works with individuals, families, business owners, and clients at different stages of financial complexity. We apply the same standard of care, service, and planning discipline to every client.

Local Roots. Practical Beginnings.
Vertis began more than 20 years ago in West Michigan as a small, local firm.
It was not built as a national platform. It was built one client at a time. That foundation still matters.
Because even as Vertis grew, acquired practices, expanded into new markets, and developed a more sophisticated advisory model, the original standard stayed in place:
- Serve people well.
- Do the work carefully.
- Treat every client relationship with respect.
Expansion Revealed the Opportunity.
Around 2010, Vertis began acquiring smaller practices. What started with local opportunity became a defining part of the firm’s growth. The first acquisitions showed the potential of bringing established client relationships into a broader planning structure. From there, Vertis expanded into markets including Metro Chicago and South Florida.
Between 2010 and 2019, the firm completed more than 30 acquisitions, including financial advisor practices, insurance practices, CPA practices, and assets under management practices after establishing its registered investment advisory structure.
That period changed the company. Vertis grew from a regional firm into a national client service organization with relationships across the East Coast, West Coast, Midwest, South, and Florida.
By 2019, Vertis had approximately 18 physical office locations. But growth also revealed something important. More offices did not automatically mean more coordination. More professionals did not automatically mean a better client experience. The structure had to evolve.
The More Vertis Grew, the Clearer the Need Became.
As Vertis expanded, the firm gained a broader view of how clients were being served across the financial industry.
- Some had strong advisors.
- Some had trusted CPAs.
- Some had estate plans in place.
But too often, those pieces were not connected. The firm saw the same pattern across markets, practices, and client relationships: successful people were building wealth inside structures that had not kept pace with their complexity. That insight became a turning point.
The Model Was Always Integration. The Structure Evolved.
The family office model has always been central to how Vertis thinks. From early on, the firm understood that clients were better served when financial advice, tax planning, legal guidance, and estate strategy worked in closer connection. In earlier offices, that often happened locally.
- A CPA in the office.
- An attorney nearby.
- An advisor coordinating the relationship.
- Estate planning conversations happening alongside financial planning.
The philosophy was there. What changed over time was the structure around it. As Vertis expanded across markets, the firm saw both the value of the family office model and the challenge of delivering it consistently through a traditional office-by-office footprint. The question was never whether integration mattered. It was how to make it more connected, more consistent, and more accessible for clients across the country.
A More Connected Way to Deliver What Vertis Already Believed.
By 2019, Vertis had a national footprint, approximately 18 offices, and clients across the country. Then COVID changed how advisory firms operated.
- Travel stopped.
- In-person meetings paused.
- Clients became comfortable meeting virtually.
At first, it was a response to circumstance. Then it became an advantage. Instead of trying to place attorneys, CPAs, estate planning resources, and advisors in every physical market, Vertis could bring the right professionals into the right client conversations regardless of geography. That allowed the firm to refine what had always been part of its DNA: coordinated planning under one broader structure.
From 2020 through 2025, Vertis focused on serving its existing client base, expanding the RIA, reducing unnecessary office locations, and strengthening the integrated family office model it operates today.
The Same Core Idea. A More Intentional Structure.
Today, Vertis operates with a more refined family office model than the one it had during its high-growth acquisition years. The firm still maintains select physical offices in major metropolitan markets, including areas such as Chicago and Metro Detroit.
But Vertis is no longer defined by how many offices it has. It is defined by how well its professionals work together.
The current structure allows financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and estate planning resources to coordinate more effectively around the client.
That is the evolution of Vertis. A firm that started locally. Expanded nationally. Learned from complexity. And refined its family office model into a more connected, modern advisory structure.
Different Clients. Same Standard.
Vertis often works with higher-net-worth clients and complex financial situations. But the firm’s standard of service is not reserved only for the largest accounts.
Vertis serves clients across a wide range of asset levels, applying the same planning discipline, responsiveness, and respect to each relationship. Some clients come with significant wealth and multi-layered needs. Others are earlier in their financial journey.
The commitment is the same:
Sophisticated Planning Should Still Be Fair.
Vertis was built to deliver more coordinated planning without unnecessary cost. The firm’s advisory fees are under 1%, below many traditional industry averages.
That matters.
Not because Vertis is trying to be the cheapest firm in the room. Because clients should not have to choose between sophisticated planning and fair pricing. They should expect both.
This Is What Vertis Was Built For.
Vertis became an integrated advisory firm because the work made the need obvious. After decades of serving clients, acquiring practices, managing offices, coordinating professionals, and seeing where financial planning breaks down, Vertis refined its model around a simple truth.
Wealth works better when strategy is connected.
A clearer structure.
A coordinated team.
A better way to organize the financial life you have built.
Do Better.
